Bayside Release New Album and Music Video

With the momentum of the pre-release now behind them, BAYSIDE are unleashing their powerful sixth new album CULT today, February 18th via Hopeless Records. Following a massive pre-release listening party via Pandora last week and a rapidly growing batch of very positive early press, CULT is enjoying a worldwide launch (Singapore, for example, posted that the album ranked at #5 on iTunes Alt Chart Singapore and #44 overall on iTunes Singapore).  Fans can purchase the album from iTunes here: To add to the celebration, the video for “Time Has Come” has been unveiled and can be seen here:

Without missing a single beat and continuing to grow bigger and bigger with each successive record, Bayside hasn’t let up from their NYC-based bombastic alt-rock that has been their signature sound since their humble beginnings 14 years ago.  Their previous five studio albums (2004’s Sirens and Condolences, 2005’s Bayside, 2007’s The Walking Wounded, 2008’s Shudder, 2011’s Killing Time) have set the stage for CULT which can seen as unadulterated and pure Bayside. Capitalizing on the searing guitars of Jack O’Shea, the meaty basslines of Nick Ghanbarian, the muscular drumming of Chris Guglielmo, and Anthony Raneri’s very distinct and unique vocal stylings, Bayside has always tapped into an audience who spans decades and scenes. Returning to the winning production team of Shep Goodman (who had worked with the band previously on their signature albums, Bayside and Walking Wounded), and Aaron Accetta (Four Year Strong, He Is We), CULT embraces their past just as strongly as their future, creating an album that at once feels straight-up Bayside while also bringing a whole new invigorating freshness and energy.

From the anthemic opening track “Big Cheese” to the seething first released track “Pigsty” to the introspective “Something’s Wrong”, CULT shows the band at their ultimate best.  New Noise Magazine raves, “Bayside has always had a signature sound that goes into every record and even while diving headfirst into new material they still retain that pop sensibility which makes them stand out as the best of the best…  whatever they’re selling, I’m buying.” Alternative Press calls the band, “a tried-and-true punk band with a keen ear for melody… These seemingly incompatible character traits are what makes Cult a success.” Substream calls the album, “a fantastic testament of a group of artists mastering their craft… another fantastic installment in Bayside’s discography of transparent brilliance.”

Bayside is Anthony Raneri (guitars/vocals), Jack O’Shea (guitar), Christopher J. Guglielmo (drums) and Nick Ghanbarian (bass). CULT was produced by Shep Goodman and Aaron Accetta and will be released today, February 18, 2014 via Hopeless Records.
