About the inspiration behind the new song, The Used frontman, Bert McCracken explains, “Before it is too late we must learn to love the precious present with all of the fury and passion life has allowed us. Understanding that it is exactly what we do with our tragedy to inspire others with theirs, that makes us the people we are.”

While “Cry” is climbing the ranks on Sirius XM’s syndicated radio channels, the song is also in high demand on regional radio stations throughout the country, including WMGM (Atlantic City, NJ), WZBH (Salisbury, MD), WRCG (Columbus, GA), WRTT (Huntsville, AL), KFRQ (McAllen, TX), WYBB (Charleston, SC), WGRD (Grand Rapids, MI), WCHZ (Augusta, GA), KHTQ (Spokane, WA), WIIL (Chicago, IL), WBYR (Fort Wayne, IN), KGRR (Dubuque, IA), WEBN (Cincinnati, OH), KEYJ (Abilene, TX), KXRK (Salt Lake City, UT), KJML (Joplin, MO), WKRL (Syracuse, NY), KMMY (Paris, TX), WARQ (Columbia, SC) and KXNA (Fayetteville, AR).

The band will be releasing their sixth studio album, Imaginary Enemy, on April 1st. Produced by the acclaimed John Feldmann, who has championed The Used since their very inception in 2001, Imaginary Enemy, puts The Used’s political frustrations and commitment to social change at its forefront. The album opens with “Revolution,” where McCracken urges, “So from now on I pledge allegiance/ To a world that’s so much different / Where no one suffers, everyone is free / Revolution starts with me.” This passionate optimism lies at the core of Imaginary Enemy.
