We Are The In Crowd have released “Long Live The Kids,” a new song off their upcoming album, “Weird Kids,” which will release February 18th via Hopeless Records. Fans can stream “Long Live The Kids” here: smarturl.it/longlivethekids and purchase the song on iTunes here: smarturl.it/watic-kids. Following the release of the band’s single, “The Best Thing (That Never Happened),” anticipation for We Are The In Crowd’s sophomore release is growing, with FUSE naming “Weird Kids” one of their “Most Anticipated Albums” of 2014 and MTV Buzzworthy coining female lead, Tay Jardine as one of the “15 Fresh Females Who Will Rule Pop in 2014.” Album and bundle pre-orders are now available via Hopeless here: http://hopelessrecords.com/weirdkids/. Fans can also pre-order the album through Best Buy to receive two exclusive bonus tracks here: http://bit.ly/1dwerSI. About the inspiration behind new song, “Long Live The Kids,” Jardine says, “Growing up in a small town, it was always difficult to see opportunity. But I had to look past it and stay determined.” She continues, “’Long Live The Kids’ really represents staying true to yourself and holding on to your dreams, even when your surroundings doubt you. Capture that feeling of being a kid- when you were braver than ever and inspired by a tall tree to climb.”

Weird Kids,” produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Yellowcard, All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco), is WATIC’s follow-up release to their successful debut album, “Best Intentions,” which launched the band into worldwide exposure – debuting at 122 on the Billboard Top 200 and landing the band on the covers of Alternative Press and Kerrang! Magazine. The band garnered over 3 million YouTube views for their “Never Be What You Want (Acoustic)” music video, received a prestigious Kerrang! Awards nomination for Best International Newcomer in 2011, and rocked major festivals like Reading and Leeds and international tours with bands including All time Low, Mayday Parade, Yellowcard, Never Shout Never and many more. While some bands might be content to rest on the laurels of newfound success, WATIC had no such interest, heading into the studio with more ambition than ever.

In the studio, Feldmann acted as a catalyst, pushing the band to step out of their comfort zone and helping them reach their full creative potential as a band. In addition to the snarky, wit that is characteristic of WATIC, Weird Kids put forth their most diverse material to date – and exposes a vulnerable, more personal side of Jardine that allows listeners into her world in a way they haven’t been before.

The Poughkeepsie, NY quintet – consisting of lead vocalist Jardine, vocalist/guitarist Jordan Eckes, guitarist Cameron Hurley, bassist Mike Ferri and drummer Rob Chianelli – is back after four whirlwind years together with a determination and drive that has turned first-time listeners into diehard fans, with the aid of Jardine’s infectious attitude and spunky, quick-witted personality. She’s got the type of stage presence that drives guys crazy (in a good way) while making girls want to emulate her.

Until now, We Are The In Crowd has been an up-and-comer. A promising young band. A group full of potential. The new kids on an already crowded block. Weird Kids is here to change that.

We Are The In Crowd recently release an action-packed music video, for “The Best Thing (That Never Happened),” directed by Mark Staubach (Lupe Fiasco, Travie McCoy, Cody Simpson). Check it out here: http://youtu.be/BFqtasnu7y8.
